T066 Series Economy Carbide End Mills (T066C/T066S/T066N)

Sharp and wear-resistant, economical and efficient

If you're looking for a carbide end mill that keeps tooling costs down without giving up too much on performance, the T066 series is worth a look. It's split into three models so you're not paying for high-hardness capability when you're just cutting aluminum, or vice versa.

T066C is the general-purpose workhorse. It handles ordinary steel, alloy steel, stainless steel up to 35HRC, cast iron, and even some high-hardness steel up to HRC55-60. Good for mixed-job shops that don't want to swap tools every time the material changes.

T066S steps up to high-hardness mold steel, working comfortably in the HRC50-60 range and rated up to HRC65. If you're machining S136, 8407, H13, or DC53, this is the one to pick.

T066N is fully polished for aluminum and copper. The geometry is optimized for non-ferrous metals, so you get clean cuts and good chip evacuation instead of built-up edge headaches.

Across the series you've got square end mills from φ1-20mm, corner radius from φ1-12mm, and ball nose from R0.5-R6mm. Solid carbide, sharp out of the box, and priced for shops that go through tools regularly.

Highlights
Key Advantages
  • Three distinct models so you only pay for the hardness range you actually need — T066C for general steel and stainless, T066S for mold steel up to HRC65, T066N for aluminum and copper.
  • T066C covers a wide material spread: S45C to S55C, SS, SCM, PX, NAK, HPM, STAVAX, SKD, DAC, DC, SKH, SUS303/304, cast iron, and aluminum alloy. One tool family for mixed jobs.
  • T066S is rated for high-hardness mold steel up to HRC65, with a practical working range of HRC50-60 on materials like S136, 8407, H13, SKS, SKH51, and DC53.
  • T066N has a fully polished flute and surface — less friction, better chip flow, and cleaner finishes on aluminum and copper alloys.
  • Size coverage is broad: 34 square specifications (φ1-20mm), 41 corner radius specifications (φ1-12mm), and 21 ball nose specifications (R0.5-R6mm).
  • Solid carbide with sharp edges and consistent wear resistance — economical enough for general machining, reliable enough for mold work.
Use Cases
Applications
  • General milling on stainless steel (SUS303/304 ≤35HRC), S45C, A3, S50C, cast iron, and cold-drawn steel — T066C handles these without fuss.
  • High-hardness mold steel machining in the HRC50-60 range, including S136, 8407, H13, and DC53 — T066S is built for this.
  • Aluminum and copper alloy machining where chip evacuation and surface finish matter — T066N's polished geometry keeps cuts clean.
  • Mold and die shops that need square, corner radius, or ball nose tools in the same series for different features on the same part.
  • Job shops running mixed materials who want one tool line that covers steel, stainless, cast iron, and aluminum without constant tool changes.
  • Production environments where tool cost per part matters — the T066 series is priced for regular consumption, not occasional use.

FAQ
FAQ
I machine mostly 304 stainless and some S45C. Which T066 model should I stock?
T066C is your best bet. It's rated for stainless steel up to 35HRC and handles S45C, S50C, and cast iron without issues. It's the most economical option for mixed general machining, so you're not overpaying for hardness capability you don't need.
Will T066S really cut mold steel at HRC60?
Yes. T066S is designed for high-hardness mold steel with a working range of HRC50-60, and it's rated up to HRC65. It's commonly used on S136, 8407, H13, and DC53. For best tool life, keep your feeds and speeds in the recommended range for hardened materials — don't push it like you would on soft steel.
Can I use T066N on anything besides aluminum and copper?
T066N is specifically optimized for non-ferrous metals — aluminum, copper, and their alloys. The fully polished geometry is designed for clean chip flow in these materials. It's not recommended for steel or high-hardness work; you'll wear it out quickly and get poor finishes.
What sizes can I get across the series?
Square end mills run from φ1 to 20mm (34 specifications), corner radius from φ1 to 12mm (41 specifications), and ball nose from R0.5 to R6mm (21 specifications). If you need a specific size, just ask — we can confirm stock and lead time.
How consistent is the quality batch to batch?
The T066 line is positioned as an economy series, but the carbide grade and grinding specs are held constant from batch to batch. That said, it's not a premium tool — expect good performance for the price, not top-tier tool life in the hardest materials. For most general machining and mold work, it's a solid value.
Do you offer OEM or bulk pricing?
Yes. The T066 series is designed for easy promotion and resale, with margin built in for distributors and resellers. Contact us with your quantities and OEM requirements, and we'll put together pricing and delivery details.
