Vertical machining centers built to hold accuracy through long production runs

If you are running mixed batches and need a VMC that holds tolerance shift after shift, the ML855 / ML1160 / ML1270 / ML1580 series is worth a look. The bed is cast in high-grade iron, so heavy cuts stay quiet and chatter stays low. The dual-screw spindle design lets the machine run at 12000r/min without giving up torque on tougher materials.

All four models share the same BBT40 spindle, 24-tool ATC and ±0.005mm positioning accuracy. What changes is the work envelope — X travel from 800mm on the ML855 up to 1300mm on the ML1580 — so you can size the machine to your parts instead of working around the table.

  • Cast iron bed for rigidity and vibration damping in heavier cuts
  • Vacuum-assisted cooling helps the machine keep accuracy over long shifts
  • 24-tool ATC cuts non-cutting time on multi-tool jobs
  • Four models, one platform: X travel 800–1300mm

Key Advantages

Built for Reliability in the Field

Each part is engineered and QC'd against the exacting standards your equipment demands.

High-grade cast iron bed

less vibration during heavy roughing, which shows up as better surface finish and longer tool life

Dual-screw spindle design

12000r/min and high torque on the same spindle, so you can go from aluminum to steel without swapping machines

24-tool ATC with BBT40 taper

fewer manual tool changes on multi-operation parts, more spindle time per shift

FAQ

Questions Buyers Often Ask

How do I know which model fits my parts — ML855, ML1160, ML1270 or ML1580?
Start with the largest workpiece you run and add room for the fixture. X travel goes from 800mm to 1300mm across the range, and table size from 1000×550mm to 1600×800mm. If your parts sit near the top of one model's envelope, size up — you will want the clearance for clamping and tool access.
Will the 12000rpm spindle handle steel, or is this mainly an aluminum machine?
The dual-screw spindle design is meant to pair high speed with high torque, so the machine is not limited to light cuts in aluminum. Spindle motor is 11/15kW. For specific steel grades and depth of cut, send us your material and cutting parameters and we will confirm what the machine can hold.
Do I need to change my tool holders for this machine?
The spindle taper is BBT40 on all four models, so your existing BBT40 holders should fit, provided they are in good condition. Check holder runout before running high-precision work — worn holders will show up in your tolerances no matter how accurate the machine is.
How long can the machine hold ±0.005mm during production?
Positioning accuracy is ±0.005mm, and the cast iron bed plus vacuum-assisted cooling are there to limit thermal drift over long runs. Real machining accuracy also depends on your fixture, tooling, material and shop temperature. We recommend a warm-up cycle and periodic accuracy checks as part of normal operation.
What do you need from me to quote a configuration?
Workpiece size and weight, material, the features you are cutting, and your accuracy target. With that we can point you to the right model and confirm options, price and lead time. Lead time varies with model and configuration, so we confirm it against the current production schedule before you order.
What testing happens before the machine ships?
Each machine is assembled and checked for accuracy and function before shipment. You can ask for the inspection report and configuration checklist along with your quotation, so you know exactly what is being verified and can sign off on the acceptance criteria.
